EZbook - Branding case study

EZbook is a melbourne based professional home service provider specializing in cleaning services. On account of their success in this domain, they decided to move into other home services like babysitting, moving, furniture assembly and so on. This demanded a rebranding to build a cohesive story stitching together the multifaceted services that they will provide.

Brand positioning

For those who wish to have an easy lifestyle , Ezbook puts a simple life at your fingertips with affordable and reliable home services.

When people thought about convenience it usually involved a single gesture like swiping, clicking or touch. As soon as any of these gestures are performed, the results appear in an instant.

I wanted the 'EZ' to resonate this kind of convenience in the mind of the consumer when they look at the identity. It should look like universal button , which when pressed, would take care of all their home needs.

When the logo was tested there was mixed responses from the readers due to the misleading curved 'z'

  • 15 percent read it as ezbook
  • 85 percent read it as eebook

I refined the logo a little to see if the readability could be made more clear.

  • 40 percent read it as ezbook
  • 60 percent read it as eebook

Though the readability increased than the previous iteration, majority of them read the 'z' as 'e'. The ambiguity still existed. So i changed the z to increase the clarity.
