Panache

The Theme of the mood board was Panache. Stylish, original and Confident.

The young audience are very spirited, and are in constant search of ways to express themselves even in the smallest details. They are very dynamic so that they would not be struck in a rut but keep growing and moving forward.

The following were the considerations for zoning

  • New arrivals near the front of the  shop so as to attract the passerby's to step into the shop
  • Accessories and impulse purchases near the billing counter.
  • Separate zone for  Wedding/Special occasion shoes which has less clutter and spaced out arrangement
  • Women's Section towards the end of the store as they would prefer to tame their time before assessing and buying the shoes.
  • Men's Shoes visible from the out  and in the front of the store as men prefer not to explore the whole store before finiding what they want. They prefer to shop to the point.
  • Kid's Shoes near the women's it is mostly women who shop for it.

The idea of the furniture was to give a clear view of the products, even the ones placed slightly above the eye level. So I avoided horizontal shelves and went for metal rods placed to provides the angles of 60 degree, 30 degree and 0 degree respectively from the top. This also gives a way of categorizing your shoes based on the heel height.

To avoid the clutter but at the same time to maintain the SKU, one shoe per pair is on display. The other one is stored in units below.

The seating was integrated along with display furniture into a single unit. The display is mainly used for casual and ready to wear shoes like flip flops.

The idea was to take inspiration from Ramps as nothing speaks glamour and fashion like Ramps.

It was implemented by using continuous strips of Corian running throughout the shop. Also the way the shoes are arranged one in front of the other was to capture the essence of  Dynamic and Spirited Youth.
